I've done really good at getting my hands out front and holding the lag. Problem is now my face is really open. I closed my stance a bit what else do you suggest

Good job, William! Now you just need to bow your lead wrist (flex) and extend your trail wrist to square the face. Really exaggerate this at first until you're hitting big draws and then back off so they go straight. You can try doing this during the downswing or some people find it easier to do at the top of the backswing during the transition. Best of luck! Nate | TSG Instructor

Gotta be a better way for me to get that face feeling. Went to a simulator (first since last fall), and was trying to swing smooth, wide and free. Felt fantastic (not too fast 90-92mph) but my path was good left or right a couple degrees, and a face to path of 22-25 degrees right. Getting out there not bad for the swing speed, and ending up 30-50 yards right! We got locked down again after ten whole days, but next time I'll try to get some video.

Clay's understanding of the average golfer and his/her struggles always astounds me. The steer-it/let-it-fly cycle is so hard to break. There's a short par 4 on my course that requires a really accurate tee shot. You only really need it to go about 180-200 yards, but certain death to the left and OB right. I've noticed that when I get my target line and set-up and trust it and hit a little harder/freer than normal, I have a better chance of hitting the fairway. When I get tight and try to steer it....hitting three off the tee.

Clay Ballard do you have any Videos on Reading fast link style course Putting greens with wavy undulations, i play the Oakland calif Johnny miller designed metropolitan golf Link style course and my green Reads are Horrific, sometimes miss reading 15 ft putts or longer by 3-5 feet left or right, are Links style courses like British opens St Andrews harder to putt and read than traditional golf greens.

We don't have anything specifically for links greens, but this video may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM1Z6t8-ydI - It's not just links courses that have tough greens. There's quite a few aspects to the way greens break and it can take a long time to get one course's greens down. This is one of the reasons some pros use green reading books. Best of luck!
